movies from my photo camera problem

I've just downloaded some movies from my photo camera. After I'm watching one, when I'm trying to open another one it's getting stuck and i'm receiving some error message "server execution failed". What should I do. I'm trying to open videos with windows media player. I've tried also with VLC but I'm getting only sound and some colorful lines. Could it be some video codec problem?

Take a look at this article:
Windows 7 Media Player - Server execution failed
And see if any of the solutions people are trying there will work for you.

My question now it's why this happened. Can the same problem happen again?

If it happened once it can happen again, for sure.

I was speed reading the thread I gave you, but I recall a post where someone had said that the issue occurred whenever they opened a second video while the first was still open. If so, the solution would be to close the first video and then open the next.

But that does not answer why the behavior happens. I don't know. Could be as simple as a bug in the software.
