No Sound when play 2 progs at same time

ok i have a problem iam trying to use fruity loops and acid pro at the same time on windows home premium 64bit, but when i try to play one or the other one of them dosent have any sound is this because it is home premium and not ultimate, as iam making up loops in FL and want to pass the files across to acid pro, but when i start acid pro up there is no sound coming from it. can you please help thank you

Start, type "mmsys.cpl", double click your playback device, select advanced and de-select exclusive mode.
