    Windows 7 Thumbnails

Dont ask me why, but Windows 7 has no support for quite a variety of Explorer image thumbnails other than .jpg's or .png's. You would think they would at least cover the basics - .NEF, .TIFF

So who has the best solution ??????? We have to pay for this ??????

maybe it's to reduce explorer bloat?

.nef isn't exactly basic - i had to google for it and i've been playing with images since paintshop pro 4 with win95.

you could use a dedicated image file organiser/viewer, like windows live photo gallery - although that probably doesn't support nef's either.

I came across the FastStone image viewer a while back when it was free and it appeared to be a great photo manager application that could display tons of file types. A lot of people continue to use it and love it, but it does cost (a little) money now.

    Download FastStone Image Viewer

Well, I found what I was looking for - a program that integrates with Windows 7 64 bit Explorer and displays almost ALL Thumbnail formats in an Explorer Page - but it wasn't free. Thats OK - it works great - "MysticThumbs". You can see it at -

    Thanks for the help guys
