Windows 7: CD 64 bit incompatibility issue.

Windows 7 x64 Ultimate Edition

I have the same problem, but find a solution with virtual machines, just create and install a Windows XP 32 bits virtual machine and execute the Beatles CD and everything works perfect.

Another option is to install Windows XP mode on Windows 7 x64

You can download Windows XP mode from the following link:

Windows 7 64

Hello ?

Yes, it has got all the albums and tracks on it.
A friend gave it to me here in the UK.

I never resolved the issue but I have every intention of tyying to do so.
All of the tracks play but without the visual display of the various albums and their tracks.

If the disc is explored there is the file folder with the music within it.
That leaves 3 files-
AUTORUN.INF Setup Information 1kb
BEATLES.EXE Application 3,614 kb
INSTALL.EXE Application 24.KB

I suspect it's the INSTALL.EXE or BEATLES.EXE or maybe both that are the problem regarding incompatibilty.

Windows7 64 bit

Peter, I have the same CD and recently I was able to run it on Windows 7 (64 bit) finally.
Here is what I did:
- Using 'PowerISO', the DVD player software, I burned an image of the CD. File type = PowerISO
- Start PowerISO and 'mount' the CD image file that you just created
- Play the virtual CD, that is right click on your cd/dvd drive and select 'Install or run program from your media'
That is it. The 'virtual CD' runs , plays and displays all the albums and lyrics like it used to do.
