As a side note, try using a third party viewer such as Infranview, I've used it for years, at least since Windows 95.

The title on the home page reads, " ...one of the most popular viewers worldwide!"
and for a good reason.

Well its good to hear the problem is resolved. I still think it was a problem with the Arcsoft software and think scanning using different software would prove this. You can use Irfanview for this. Just open the prog. click File
click "Select Twain Source". Select your scanner. Click file and then Aquire/Batch Scanning. That will open your scanning interface as normal and not use Arcsoft!

You can also use Infranview to do batch processing, so you don't have to resave your files one at a time. The wesite has a FAQ and forums to help if you need that.

Playing Cross-Platform games?
This may seem like a dumb question, but it's an area I know nothing about. My brother-in-law has been playing Call of Duty: Black Ops quite a bit on his Xbox 360. I recently got the game for my PC, but I'll admit, I don't normally play any games online. So, that leads me to my possibly stupid...
