    second monitor question


    hello i just bought a new netbook with windows 7 starter was just wondering if there is anyway that i could get the lid close mode to do nothing when lid is closed automatically when i plug in my vga cable i only what it switched when veiwing my second monitor and switch back when im not

    Power options under Control Panel will have a link asking you what you want the laptop to do when you close the Lid, select "nothing". Then once you have your monitor plugged into to your laptop, hit the "windows key and P" to toggle the monitor options.

    Windows 7 Starter does not support a second monitor...is your workaround something else?
