I WANT TO.......(newbie-ish)
hi, im a newbie to windows 7 and this forum so i apologize if this has been covered before, but im struggling to do what i thought would of been basic things in the customization of my pc, so if you can help it would be much appreciated..
i want to: 1) all my films are in the my movies folder in my libary, and i would like to be able to have cover art showing for each individiual movie, not the slanted open folder look that i am currently stuck with 2)the same for my music, i'd like it to look neat with one big album art as the main view, and then i can click that to view a list of the songs for that album 3)the views in all my various folders and sub folders are different (i.e large icons, small icons, list, tiles) and changing one doesn't change the rest. i want to have the same view in a folder every time i open a different one 4)when i go to control panel and select show hidden files and uncheck hide protected files so that i can delete the imbedded pictures etc in music albums, there are sometimes still artwork for individual songs that i can't seem to access to delete Sorry for the long post, hope there are some experts kicking about! ![]() cheers. One thing at a time...
![]() Question number 1. I must stress that I have not tried this, but it looks like what you are after: Add Cover Art and Metadata to the Media Center Movie Library with Media Center Master - How-To Geek |

thanks, but it is not the media center i am after, it is the bog standard my movies folder with all my film files in them. i want neat looking art for them, or at the very least a flat folder with a big picture of the movie on it.

Hi cooperidol, and welcome to SevenForums..
What I like to do is for my audio albums is Google image search a cover, right-click --> save as and call it folder.jpg in the target directory. This will give you one big picture. |

Yeah, thats what i have..but its still the slanted, open book style, obscure look.... i just wish it was possible to have the pic square onto you, preferably with out the folder but at least a bic pic on the front of the folder |

Instead of viewing through the Library, I use Windows Media Player which comes as part of Windows 7.
There are selection of views available from a small drop down menu - shown below. . . |
