Change Icons back to WMA & Not Zune

I had to install Zune program for my windows 7 phone. It immediately started syncing my music then changed all the icons to zune icons instead of my original wma. I would like to put them back the way they were. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

With which program were the WMA files associated initially?

I guess previously wma was associated with WMP .

Right click on any wma file , and choose "properties" . It will open the wma properties box, with "General" tab selected by default . There is a "change" button beside "Opens With" . Click it . In the resulting window, I guess you will get "Windows Media Player" in Recommended Programs . Select it > OK > Apply > Ok .

    Hello Timehuevi,

In addition, you could download and merge only the file extensions listed in the tutorial below for the file extensions that you are having this problem with to restore their default associations.

Default File Type Associations - Restore

    OR

You could also use Default Programs to set Windows Media Player as the default program with all of it's associations.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
