    Hi nimat7, welcome to SevenForums.:)

Where are you trying to edit/add detail to your MP3's?

Go to the folder where the actual MP3 is saved ie. My Music, right click on the file you want to edit, choose details and you should be able to add or remove any of the information you wish.

    Hope this helps.

I've found over the years that there are some that you just cant edit, maybe because of how they were ripped, or, and maybe I'm just being a little paranoid, but because they are trackers, I don't know, so I just delete them.

Look at the attachment, and see how in the comments there seems to be some kind of code, again, perhaps I'm being a little para, but I attribute that to a tracking code of some sort, which is why if I can't edit it, it gets binned.

(yes it's a cheesy tune, but I needed cheesy Christmas tunes =) )....

FZ21Z, we all need cheesy tunes sometimes.

Many people don't bother editing their own ID3 tags and whatever ripper software they use sometimes puts in a ID3 tag number in the comments section as well as the name of the encoding software or whatever else the ripper program wants.

I don't know if their intention is to keep track of what program was used to rip MP3s when they see them floating around the net or simply to just take up space.:)

If you are interested in how the ID3 tags are created, have a look here: mp3Frame - ID3.org and here: ID3 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

The info is nothing one needs to know, but it is sometimes interesting to understand the process behind the technologies we all use so often without a full understanding of the processes involved in creating them.:)

You could try mp3tag. Give it a little time to figure it out and you'll find you can do a lot with it.

Because you can delete the actual fields of them, <ARTIST> <BAND> etc. With MP3TAG you can easily tag all your files to your liking.

The 0x8007000D error is a generic data corrupt error and is an indication of a bad download or encoding - The only real way to eliminate the error is to re-encode the file or for a download you could try to re-download

Try this ID3-TagIT - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com

BTW, Error 8007000d indicates that the data is invalid.
