Is it a major issue? Can we get by without updating?

You've gotten by without this particular fix since, umm, forever.

To be able to fix the persons issue whom came to my forum, a release was required.

I'm guessing that many of you have bought the CoreAVC codec as I have. By popular demand, my next release (v127) will support using CoreAVC on Windows 7 within the native players. WMP and MC (32bit only) will be able to load and use the CoreAVC codec.

Click HERE to go to the corecodec.com forums where more details are posted.

I just have to give credit to whom credit is due.

Shark007 was my savior after a complete reinstall of Vista Ultimate.
I used his Vista Codec Package v5.3.5 and everything played very well on WMP11 and Media center, without the need of installation of different players.

( My "mistake with ZOOM Player, added to the other machine running Windows 7)

I wish I cant uninstall them and go with his Windows Seven codecs instead.

Again Congrats for an outstanding job putting together this Codec Pack......

Well, i went ahead and uninstalled ZOOM Player and numerous Codecs that came with it. and installed Shark's.

Needless to say I'M A HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!
Flawless playback in WMP12 and MC, I even tried some Matroska (MKV)Blue Ray (The International)without any problem.....

Congrats on this Codec Pack again

32bit versions 127 and x64 version 206 have been released.

Both of these release contain over 60 undocumented fixes mainly to the settings application. Besides supporting CoreAVC in the Microsoft Players this release also lends full support to using ffdshow's subtitle feature.

I would consider these releases a major update.

I made quite a few changes in the latest release for Windows 7 users,

    the official changelog for v128:
    - add CoreAVC H264 support - this will allow you to use CoreAVC
    - add AAC audio selection - this will allow 5.1 audio (monogram filter)
    - update Audio TAB controls - changes are simultaneous for ffdshow and ac3filter
    - update AC3Filter 1.63b - some huge improvements in this update
    - support extenders via Tversity - you can play mkv's on xbox 360

There are always many undocumented things going on that I just dont have time to keep track of
or are not considered to be of enough importance to put in the official changelog.
