    Media Library issues.

Many Windows 7 users are having problems with the Media Library.
Things like showing files twice or showing files that were deleted.

To help my users deal with these issue I have incorperated a button that will fix those issues by rebuilding the entire audio / video library. Have a look on the Misc TAB as depicted in the screenshot below.

Just wondering what determines if ffdshow audio settings has pass-through settings for HD audio ? Installed 2.3.2 on two machines and one has settings for HD audio.

Selecting to use CoreAVC with FFDshow postprocessing would remove the hd audio settings. This is a current bug with ffdshow that I cannot control. If you deselect the postprocessing option it would return the hd audio settings to the interface.

suggested deviations from a default installation for x86...

    Help TAB, associate filetypes
SWAP TAB, Disable the DMO video codecs
SWAP TAB, choose ffdshow for xvid etc.
SWAP TAB, disable the Microsoft Audio decoder (unless you use LiveTV, then leave it alone)
H264 TAB, select the divx codec
    Audio TAB, match your hardware
Config TAB, lower boxes, match your hardware
When I selected the "Use Divx Codec" on the right hand side of the H264 tab, it toggled the selections to "Do not use FFDShow" under the 'Use FFDShow's codec' area and to "Do not use MPC-HC codec (default)" under the 'Use MPC-HC DXVA codec' area. Is this supposed to happen?

yep. as designed. your system only requires one active H264 decoder.

    are you having a problem?

I haven't tried out all of my media formats yet, but I just wanted to make sure I was properly following your instruction before I began my testing.

As always, very much appreciated and I'll come to your forums if I have any further problems.

For the next release (version 233) I am adding a new checkbox for,

    "Shark007 SUGGESTED settings"

It will be positioned on the bottom, between the Reset button and the transparency selector
so it will be visible from all TABS.

For those using version 2.3.2 you can acquire this new application in my Application Development Thread. The only portion of the new app that will be inconsistant is the reset all feature being unable to properly select the new features because it wasnt distributed with a full release. Upon 1st use, newly added checkboxes will be checked (falsely). Just uncheck them. Again, this is only because the application was not distributed with a full release.

Why aren't they on default if they are "SUGGESTED"?
