    converting photos into jpegs, etc.

    Hi,

My name is Mimi and I just registered on Window 7 Forum. I'm on the east coast of the United States.

Sometimes I get pictures that show up as a blank white page, folded in the upper right-hand corner. How do I convert it into a jpeg or a regular photo.

I'm on Windows 7 home premium, 64 bits.

    Thanks in advance.

    jpegs, etc.

These pictures don't have an .exe or any kind of extension. It is one of those that you have to use an "open with" program, i.e. Windows photo Viewer, paint, Windows Media Center, Microsoft office manager, etc.

right click--select rename and add .jpeg extension to file name--see if that works

We'll likely need a bit more information before we can give you accurate advice:

    1) How did the pictures get onto your machine (i.e., imported through camera software, copied from thumb drive, etc.) Be as specific as you are able.

    2) What program will they open in?

    3) When right clicking on the file and choosing Properties, what information is available there?

I'm not sure how to reply to the people that helped me; for instance one of the members, BTNH108464 gave me easy instructions on to convert to a .jpeg and it worked.

I want to thank him for his help along with everyone else who contributed to the problem with converting "blank" pictures into .jpeg(s).

I just joined, and am finding this website somewhat confusing until I get used to it.

Hope I can find someone who can help me get used to this site.

Thank you for your help. Renaming the file as a .jpeg worked.
