Windows 7 Ultimate x64/Windows 8 Consumer Preview x64/Ubuntu 11.04

Hi bntk,

As the .rmvb file was developed by RealNetworks (the same company that developed RealPlayer), I recommended using RealPlayer to play such files.
RealPlayer SuperPass | Premium Player with TV &amp Movies - 14-day Free Trial
RealPlayer - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Downloads

Hope this helps,

Windows 7 Home Premium x64

RealPlayer has a habit of taking over your system in strange ways, I would suggest you avoid it and try this instead: :: Download Real Alternative 2.0.2 : Real Alternative will allow you to play RealMedia files without having to install RealPlayer/RealOne Player

If VLC doesn't give you what you want, download the latest version of

Media Player Classic - Home Cinema - Video Player

and install it. Then install Real Alternative but UNCHECK the included version of MPC because that build is old, use the newest version of MPC instead.

Why are media players so difficult to setup? Setting up Windows is "a piece of cake", compared to the codec nightmares involved in media players (also unlike Windows, Linux & Graphics programs, I haven't seen any decent websites on the subject). Did MS Patches in May break rmvb support in...
