Do you want to run 3D or 2D?

Either case, I'd expect the TV to be recognized, for you to be able to set 1920x1080 with a minimum of 60Hz (to max 120Hz) refresh rate. As your TV is 120Hz you should be able to setup 3D...But would need special glasses and sync software for that to function in high quality.

I'm not sure what you are asking in the post, please clarify?

Maybe if you post a snip of the NVIDIA screen setting you are looking at?

he is asking about the black and white level of the image.
    it's either 0-255 (PC) or 16-235 (Video)
try either one and see what looks better to you.

Ah, those must be NTSC settings? I don't recognize them in PAL.
    Anyway, thx!

In regard to configuring the display:
Press say F5 (or other key --usually marked) to switch off the laptop’s own monitor and then you can use the max resolution your video card and monitor is capable of. If you have a high resolution video card you can connect the HDMI card to the TV giving fantastic HD quality video too.

If the screen looks stretched, or part of the screen seems cut off, you probably need to adjust the screen resolution in Windows. Or, if you can't see Windows on your TV, you might need to reconnect the computer to your monitor and adjust the screen resolution before you connect to your TV.

Perhaps either of these tutorials would provide you with some additional information:
