    Converter for m4v to wmv

Does anyone know of a free converter program that will convert m4v to wmv (or other web friendly format).

I have installed several that said they were free but turned out to trial versions.

    Thanks for any assistance.

I use Any Video Convertor and although it cant output m4v (which a just an mp4 variant) I have just happily converted a freshly downloaded m4v to wmv with no problems or loss of quality, it does keep offering it's professional edition but still works perfectly in the freeware version without limitation. I recall it used to be ad based but since the last update I havent noticed adds (maybe due to my system config or 3rd party apps I have installed).

    Anyway does the job!

P.S. just noticed it supports manual adding of output codecs if required, also supports multithreading in freeware edition.

Thanks Sub Styler I will give that a try.

In the mean time I found an excellent online converter at:

Convert Files - free online file converter and YouTube video downloader.Convert videos, audio files, documents and ebooks.

It did an excellent job of converting my m4v's to wmv. The instructions for converting were easy to follow and actually done very quickly. The site also offers several other services that computer users may find helpful.
