    Downloading Pix Questions

    Hello,

    Two questions, please:

    a. Where do i find the option box where I can designate where all pix and videos, e.g., are downloaded to ? e.g., the Desktop, or...?

    b. After many hours, I have finally been able to get my new LG Revere phone to talk to my PC via a Bluetooth Dongle. Was quite a battle, and still not sure what is really happening.

The phone (icon) is listed under the Computer sidebar that comes up via the pretty Button on the bottom left.

If I download a picture, and click on the phone icon there, a Folder labeled pictures appears, and the pix is in it. Great.
    But-

if I shut the phone off, though, this picture Folder with a picture that I had presumed I had transferred (permanently) to my PC disappears.

If I dragged the picture from the Folder to my Desktop first, it will stay on my Desktop when the phone is shut off.

Why doesn't the Picture Folder stay (or exist) on my PC when the phone is off ?

    Thanks,
    Bob

That depends on the browser you use.

In Firefox, go to Tools, Options, and look at the general tab....."save files to".

I've forgotten the method for other browsers, but it's clearly controllable.

If you will open start and open computer, you will see libraries in the left column. The libraries contain sections for documents, pictures, videos, music. that is where you would normally save a picture to, the pictures library. Then if you want to put it someplace else you can drag and drop it, or copy/paste it (which is the same thing).

What you are seeing is the phones folder directory, it is static on the phone and you use that folder to get access to your pictures, it will not be there if the phone is disconnected, if you do want to keep the pictures, just drag them to the picture folder or wherever you prefer to store them pictures, again, you shouldn't worry about it, you're just looking at the phone folders and not your computer folders.
