    Odd File Symbol

So, that strange [>>] sign keeps popping up EVERYWHERE on my music, picture, and video files. I have no clue to where it came from; all I know is that it was fine before I downloaded Norton 360 and did a "Full System Scan".

    Any ideas?

It looks like it might be a custom icon for a shortcut, have you hacked your Windows theme or installed a custom theme of some sort?

hi R13n3, and welcome to sevenforums,

if it only appears on shortcuts, this tutorial may help: Shortcut Arrow - Change, Remove, or Restore

no, they aren't shortcuts and I've never hacked my Windows theme so I'm not sure what's wrong.

ok - i found this by doing a quick google - it's related to norton backup and means that the file has changed since the last backup

If you don’t need the backup indicators feature you can turn it off by clicking Settings in the Norton 360 main window, disabling the Backup Status Overlays check box and clicking Close
