You may have to click the button to "Change settings for all users" to be able to change the compatibility settings.

Got it thanks. Good to know this feature is available, I'm sure it will come in handy. Does it cause any problems using this feature?

I would avoid using the feature unless it is necessary or you are having problems with an older program. It is not needed for most programs, and it may make them less stable, but it should make older programs more stable. That is, after all, its intended purpose.

I think you misunderstood me. The speakers may still work. There are methods for installing them on newer systems. See and for help installing the drivers for older hardware.

Well I'm still looking for the drivers as it happens anyway, they were bought with a Windows 98 machine and AFAIK there were no drivers made for VISTA. Might be some for XP not sure.

If I can find a USB cable then it'll probably search automatically.
