    Windows 7 playing dvd movies

    Hello guys.
Apparently Windows 7 does play dvd movies

This i just found out with my copy of Windows 7 Professional.

Well i wanted to watch a dvd that my family got through Netflix
but my dad keeps taking the tv.

So i just put it in my CD drive and Windows Media Player opens up with the movie.

    Nice don't you think?

For the most part, youll find it will play most anything :)

BluRay will require extra software, and some file types like MKV require a 3rd party splitter such as Haali, but overall Win7 can handle a large number of file types on its own.

And I agree, WMC is really nice once you get it setup to your liking :)
