Win 8 Release candidate 8400

Neither do I. I run every file type known to man and VLC handles all of them by itself. I haven't installed a codec yet in win 7. If I did I would install individual files not codec packs (except for shark's of course <g>).

What's up with those .dlls?
No problem. I got homecinema x64 aswell, really cool. What .dlls do you mean?

@codecs: I use shark007's codecs for mkvs since that was the only way for me to get my bluray rips 1080p h264 to run properly in 16:10 with MPC. Of course you only need the haali media splitter to watch them on WMP, but i don't like black borders. I hate them, tbh. I never had any problems with them, no spyware, no computer crashes etc. Trust codecs!

Video player that divides video into smaller scenes for preview?
Hi there. I'm looking for a video player that can divide videos into smaller scenes (like every 15 or 30 sec) so that they serve as previews and lets you seek to the part you want. Note that it doesn't really split the video; it just does it on the spot for previewing purposes. This technique was...

If the 64bit players are better can you suggest me one, to see if I...

Video Player Lockup
OK so when I attempt to use any video player on an existing AVI file my system locks up and has to be rebooted. I have tried WMP, VLC (my preference) and KPS. They all react the same way, leads me to believe it is hardware and not a software issue, Is 1 gig of ram enough for this system to...
