how do i post a picture in my gaming forum?

    how do i post a picture in my gaming forum?


    i dont know how to post a picture its says i should get the properties > image url thing so i can post it like this

    [img] url [//img] something l;ike that but i cant seem to find the url in my .jpg picture properties. can someone please tell me how?

    image url refers to the url where it is saved online.

    If you need to upload, you can use Photobucket (there are lots of other upload services as well) and then use the image url for the picture once it is uploaded there.

    Doesn't it allow you to browse to an image on your computer

    I don't think he was talking about this forum. Some forums don't have the space to provide uploading to all users like SF does. So they only do linking to other host services.

    I can see this question arising for anyone accustomed to uploading and now not seeing that option.

    I have a small guild for WoW and have a guildpage. It's a free webpage/forum service, but has very little space for uploading images. anything I post in the forum, I link instead of upload.

    thanks thorsen, fair enough, i accept other smaller forums may differ from the elite sevenforums, i just wanted to double check that the browse to upload wasn't being overlooked.
    sometimes something simple can be the answer ,which is handy as thats the limit of my expertise
