VLC's Default Aspect Ratio

    VLC's Default Aspect Ratio


    Regardless of the ratio that a video is encoded for, VLC always displays it at a lesser size, until I manually select the proper ratio. Is there a way to get VLC to automatically display the video at the ratio that it is encoded for?

Tried to import a video from a DV camcorder into windows livemovie maker, and burn to dvd.. First issue no burn to dvd option, surely saving it as avi/wmv and then working with that is a real bodge? Second issue it thinks the footage is 4:# because its 720:576, its not, it really is 16:9 ! ...

Hey, I've got a NV53 series Gateway laptop brand new and I am trying to fix the aspect ratio options but I can't. Does anyone know where I can find it? I've looked everywhere and brought it to best buy and they couldn't find it either so I need help!!
