Well, it did work before when I had an XP version and used it here on the 7 version. Its just that Windows Live MM cannot import an mp3, which is pretty low in my book (along with everything else about Windows Live MM).
I have never used it, but it may be treated as an alternative to Windows live movie maker : OpenShot Video Editor
And, if you install XP virtually using virtualbox , you will be able use Windows movie maker XP version in windows 7. For the same purpose, if you have a windows version over professional, have a look : Windows XP Mode - Install and Setup
Openshot looks great, but, I don't think it work for Windows. Does it?
