Accidentally deleted a folder I created in my "my videos" folder

I had accidentally deleted a folder I created in my "my videos" folder and I'm not quite sure how to get it back or find its contents. :S
any help would be amazing as I've spent a lot of time building that folder.

On your desktop there should be a recycling bin icon. Open that up your deleted folder should be in there unless it was to big and got permanently deleted. Right click on the folder and hit restore.
If its not in there you will have to resort to a file recovery program.

Hello emcVulture, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you had system protection turned on, then you may be able to use the Previous Versions feature in Windows 7 to try and recovery the deleted folder from within the "My Videos" folder.

If that is not an option for you, then you might see if using a free program like Recuva may be able to restore it.

    Hope this helps, :)

You can use Recuva which is a free, easy to use and powerful tool for this. :)

Before we begin here are some important tips:

Do not create or store new files on the hard disk or partition as it can overwrite on your deleted data!

Always recover data to another medium: another partition, another hard drive (internal or external), USB drive, ZIP disk, etc.

The sooner you make data recovery the more likely are the chances of restoring your complete data.

Note: According to Recuva developers, it can recover data from a formatted drive too. It can also recover deleted mail from your mail client.
