Best Format For Lossless Video Compression/Conversion to .avi Format?

Hi all,

Just wondering, for you video editors out there, which format you prefer from the following:
  • BGR24
  • RGB555
  • YUY2
  • RGBA32
Or, if there's a better one that I didn't list that you prefer/gotten the best results from I'd love to know. Like H264 .mp4s or just some standard NTSC format.

Same here. Until I found an excellent little 300kb codec plugin for Windows Media Player. Now I save video's in the .flv format, and they are around half the size of .avi format, and have the best playback clarity I've seen yet.
