    Why does PRTSC update my previously saved files?


    Hi,

    I'm looking for some help please with an issue, I have been scratching my head over this one for about 2 hours.

    I am trying to capture images from a video using PRTSC and pasting into Paint.

    When I tried it on my Win 7 Home Premium machine I got a black screen, so I tried it on my older laptop -running Win XP. I got a picture through XP but every time I try to save a second or subsequent PRTSC, it overrides all previous PRSC's, even after changing them to READ ONLY. (I note that it is only the video part of the previously saved PRTSC that appears to be updated to the current PRTSC, as the counter has changed in the different shots)

    I have tried saving in different formats jpeg, bitmap, tiff, gif, and tried saving to USB drive. I have also tried turning off the accelerators.

    The video is located on the HD of the XP machine, otherwise I use the DVD to try through Win 7.

    Any ideas welcome, thanks!!
