    Windows dvd maker


    Hello all.
    Went to burn a DVD of a slideshow made with windows movie maker,It was a slideshow of my granddaughter at xmas day.
    But when I went to burn the dvd to disc using windows DVD maker it went about 8% then stopped and a box came on screen telling me about some missing codec files.
    Can you assist please.Running windows 7 home premium.

    What are those files DVD maker could not decode? What type?

    Hi,Many thanks for the reply.
    All the images were jpeg.Been thinking of looking for an alternative to the windows dvd maker.
    Any thoughts there please.

    Hi,Happy New Year to you.
    Thanks for that piece of kit,I gave it a run earlier looks fine but its just a bare one no transitions etc.
    Must say it works well.

    I have another program that gives better authoring settings but looks rather difficult at first though it's really easy to use. It's only drwaback is it takes longer to complete. Picture quality is excellent also.

    Hi David,
    here is the program I was referring to, DVDStyler Portable.pdf
    I attempted to use the latest portable version but coundn't get it to work. If you need a working copy I can send it to you.
