    Unable to edit music files in Media Player transfered from old laptop


    Hi All

    I had an ageing Vista laptop that developed a hard drive problem so I now have this great new 7 one.

    I am fortunate in that I work for a local computer company so I was able to salvage music etc.

    My issue is that I am unable to edit anything that was recovered from my old laptop in Media Player.

    Anything ripped on this laptop is free to edit.

    Hi NinewhileNine, Welcome onboard.

    Check the file attributes in the Properties dialog box of the transferred music files. If these are marked Read only, uncheck it and Apply.

I have been using the old classic version of Widows Media Player and love the old shortcut of pressing the space bar for play/pause. I was wondering if there is a way to edit the short cut so that I can modify it back to space bar being play/pause? Thanks

What is the best Music/Media player. My interpretation of BEST is: Beautiful sleek GUI Support for MP3 and FLAC at least And as the first one said Pretty and sleek UI
First off , allow me to say I am a computer dummy . :D Also , I am using a Japanese computer , and new to it , an HP Touchsmart . Media Player 11 installed . I downloaded music files that went directly into " downloads " . I want to burn these files to CDR .
