Unsupporting Media

Hello Friends,
I have Acer 5755 laptop having Windows 7 ultimate installed in it. And have samsung star nxt
cellphone. There are some MP4 videos on my cellphone. However when I try to play those videos
they can't play and a message is displayed on my cellphone screen as- "Unsupported media type or
bitrate is over". I don't understand what is the exact problem since my cellphone supports all MP4
videos but still I am unable to play some MP4 videos. Why this is happening?
I know that my question is quite off-topic and is not directly relevant with this forum, but I
will be very very thankful if somebody explain how to solve this problem.

I suspect there is a problem bitrate of your video. Even though the format of the video is supportive to the device, the bitrate might be very high.

Use any converter and change the bitrate of the video.

Examples are HandBrake, FFmpeg

MP4 is just a container for the video. The actually video could be encoded in a huge number of actual formats, bitrates, etc. The videos will likely need to be re-encoded to a known format using a working profile or preset.

Thanks for reply, but I want to know whether these converters are "Trial Versions" or "Permanent Versions"
also whether they include the feature for adjusting the bit-rate.
I am asking these questions since many downloads are basically trial versions and are available for limited time period or with very limited features.
Also are they safe for my PC as I have read some other replies that are suggesting not to go for that.
