How do I get Winows to search for files in subfolders?

I need to search for all mp3 files inside a folder that has other folders in it (sub folders)

so I opened the main folder in my computer and typed in *.mp3 in the search box on the top right of the screen then pressed enter but I got nothing! There are a lot of MP3 files in these sub folders but I'd like windows to find them for me so I can mark all the search results, cut and paste them into one directory. Is that too much to ask?

Some times after pressing enter you must tick on computer to do a better search.

Layback Bear, thank you for the reply.

Turns out to be my silly fault. I was getting no search results because the search service was off ( how embarrassing)

Also make sure you have indexing turned on. That will speed your searches When Windows knows where things are. Take a read through this Tutorial. Lots of good information.
