Some thumbnails are not fully displayed

All of a sudden my thumbnails for pictures look as if a curtain was pulled over some of them. The pictures are OK when the icon is selected.

    Hello albortz,

May be a refresh issue. You might see if refreshing (F5) the window may help.

If not, then see if resetting the thumbnail cache may if there's any corruption in it.

    Hope this helps, :)

    Found slow solution...

Tried to refresh the thumbnails cache -- same problem. When I saved the pix using the "save as" the problem was cured. I have hundreds of pictures with this problem. Can someone offer a faster way or a work-a-round?

You might test to see of renaming one will have the same affect to fix it. If so, then you could select all affected images and rename them all at once.

    Thumbnail display problem

Sorry renaming did not work. Wish it did. Must be something embedded in the icon code that will only change when it is "saved as".

    To bad.

Do you have Windows Photo Viewer set as the default program with all of it's associations?

If so, then does moving the image to one location and back work as well?

If so, then you could just select and move all affected images, then move them back.

Are the pictures on some external device?
    Can you upload a snip?
This is the preferred, best way to upload an image to a post.

You may also upload a photo without using the Snipping tool.
