Lately Windows Live Photo Gallery takes up 70%-90% of CPU!

    Hello all,

Recently (meaning it wasn't like this from the beginning), when I open Windows Live Photo Gallery to edit photos, I notice in the Task Manager that WLXPhotoGallery.exe takes up 50%-70% of CPU. The dllhost.exe that it brings up, takes up another 20%-25%!

Needless to say all hell breaks loose, the computer starts overheating and I think I'll fry my hard disk if I leave it on for more than a few seconds.

It might be corrupted, don't know how it did. Any suggestions?

The only reason I'm using this lousy piece of software is that I haven't installed my Nero 7 Ultra from 5 years ago. I read that it may not be compatible with Win 7.

    Thanks!

    Lets check something out

    Click on Download Now button

Right-click the DDS icon choose Run as administrator to run the tool.

Place a check next to attact.txt and click Start . When done, DDS will open two logs
    DDS.txt
    Attach.txt

Save two logs onto your desktop and upload them with your reply

       Note
    Don't zip the attach.txt file

    Thank you both.

I went into Options and unchecked "Find people in your photos", closed and restarted Photo Gallery...that did it. CPU usage returned to 0%.
