WLMovie maker format change

I have edited a film which has come from my gopro camera and now it is in a format that is not acceptable to Image shack/YouTube etc. I cannot see how to change the format. help!

Welcome to Seven Forums! The only thing I can think of, is you're saving it as a project file instead of encoding it. Windows Media Video (WMV) is a popular format, you shouldn't have issues like that. Sorry if this is useless to you.

I have downloaded the new version of WLMM 2011. My Sony HD Handicam outputs MTS video files. Do I have to convert these files to (?what type of file?) before I can use them in WLMM 2011. I know they didn't work very well in the previous version.
