Win 7 & ipod 3

I bought a pre-loved ipod 3 yesterday. Yes, I am behind the times but necessity won over. I am apple illiterate. Even touchscreen illiterate actually. What now? I understand I need software to allow me to upload files from the PC to the ipod for listening & watching.

I'm a bit confused with info overload. Could some kind fellow give me a link to the correct page to solve my needs please.

Have you plugged it into the computer yet?

It should install the drivers and ask if you want iTunes.
