Problems movie videos on Windows Photo Gallery

I'm using the windows live essentials 2012 I believe.

When I create a new folder and copy videos to it from another using Windows photo gallery, the videos copy to the folder and can be seen outside of the gallery but I cannot see them in the new folder when opened in the gallery.

Try to put this 'new folder' into the Video library. Then it will find it. If the folder is e.g. in Documents, it may not find it.

It works in the video library as well as in my documents and pictures library. However I have an external hard drive(buffalo ministation extreme HD-PZU3) and when I copy the videos there, then photo gallery will not read them. (It does read the pictures in the hard drive)

Thank you for your assistance. :)

Create a library for those folders on the external drive and INCLUDE those folders into this library (right click on the folders) - or INCLUDE the folder(s) into the Video library.
