    What do I need to convert .MOV files for Windows Movie Maker?


    I have some videos that were shot with a Nikon camera. They are .mov files. Windows Movie Maker does not recognize this format. What do I need/use to convert them to a useable format?

    I found "Nero Recode" that I didn't know I had (part of Nero 12 Platinum). Recode will convert MOV to MP4 or AVI (and several other formats).

    I was at a loss here but know iphones produce .mov files and they don't have issues as you had with your Nikon ?
