Amazon prime HD streaming stutters? Netflix + youtube HD good.

This has been going on for months.
Running Chrome browser, 64 bit, 8gb ram, quad core 9650 cpu, gtx260 nvidia pcie, cox internet.

Computer does fine on other HD streaming.
It is bad enough that I have to stream Amazon in SD.

The progress bar moves ahead as it streams in from Amazon, the playback stutters, audio video break up.

So what gives the grief on this?

Here someone says needs to be HDMI cable used to LED HDTV?
I am running the TV off VGA cable. Card is DVI - DVI to VGA adapter- VGA cable - LED HDTV

I just tested my inferior core 2 duo with 4gb and it plays fine HD amazon prime.
The network is setup as cable modem, wireless Gateway router, trendnet gigabit switch, my inferior
    pc, my quad core PC.

Trendnet gigabit switch allows a gigabit connection between these 2 PC's for quick copying.

Do you thing the quadcore computer's NIC card settings have caused the stutter?

    I fixed it
reset the nic adapter winsock using netsh.

    actually that stuttering came back.

I did finally fix it I think by replacing the WGR-250 Gateway wireless router. Now using a fixed firmware updated wgt624v3 netgear router.

Has not stuttered once since the change.
