Disbale video thumbnails but keep images thumbnails

    Hello guys
    Im new here.

    windows 7 64 bit

1.There is an option in folder options : ALWAYS SHOW ICONS, NEVER THUMBNAILS.
Is it possible to set this option only to a specific folder not all folders?

2.If the answer to question above is no, so how can i disable thumbnails for a specific file extension like MP4?

My main problem is that i want disable video thumbnails but keep images thumbnails.
    Any solution guys?

Hello Repenter, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Unfortunately, the thumbnail preview setting is an all or none global setting.

A possible workaround would be to set some 3rd party program as the default program to open .mp4 files with that doesn't support thumbnail previews in Windows Explorer. This way you could leave thumbnail previews turned on, and .mp4 files would just show the icon the program provides instead.

I'm afraid that I don't know of any programs, but hope it may help. :)
