Can you attach one of the pictures to a posting - I want to try something. Put it into a .zip folder so that I can download it.

I changed from Irfanview to ACDC Free, thinking that might be the problem, but nope.

    Thanks,
whs is out of town for a while,
I didn't have any issue with the file the tag options were available as soon as I extracted all ?
See if opening this file to see the full size image,
Then right click it and click on Save Picture as,
Then see if you see the options to add tags is there,

Uninstall each of the following with reboot after each one.

    Kingsoft antivirus

    AVG antivirus

    Ashampoo WinOptimizer

Run sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt. Follow the tutorial for Option 2. If there errors on the console, repeat the process up to three times with a reboot after each run.

Install Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE). Make sure it's updated and run a full scan.

    Download and run AdwCleaner.

Do NOT install any type of Windows "Fix-It" programs unless specifically directed by one of the specialist here. Now or in the future. These programs can damage the Registry and render your Windows Install Unusable and/or cause system program errors.

Check to see if your Windows Explorer will display the picture properties now.

Added: All three of the packages noted for uninstalls above have been causing Windows Explore to crash. This is most likely the reason the edit function is not working.

Ok carwiz, I will follow your instructions below and see if that fixes my problem. ThrashZone, the pic you asked me to open, did not work either, so I will follow carwiz's instructions. Thank you guys so much for your help and patience with this. I really appreciate your help. I would reply sooner to your posts, but have been battling a bad cold/flu and in and out of bed lol.

PS: carwiz, are you saying you don't want me to use AVG Free? Only MSE?? No problem if that is better for my computer. I have downloaded both programs, and will do the uninstall/reboot and other info required. Thanks again!!
