    Can't play DVD

Hey. So I have an HP Envy Beats 14, and it has a CD/DVD slot but when I enter a DVD into the slot and try to open it, my computer says "please insert disc into E:" and then ejects my DVD. When I put it back in, it's still not recognizing it. As far as my computer understands, the drive is empty even though I have a DVD in there. Someone please help. I've never used the CD/DVD drive since buying it (used) so I can't say whether or not it's ever worked. I don't know if it's a hardware issue or software issue or what. I don't know if my computer is meant to support DVDs? In device manager, under DVD/CD-Rom drives, the driver is "hp DVDRAM GS320N" and it's as up-to-date as it's supposed to be.

Hi there. Have you tried more than one DVD? From then on, we can figure out if it's the DVD issue or the DVD drive that's giving the problem.
