    youtube videos won't play

Suddenly youtube videos won't play. The viewing window stays black as though it isn't even uploading. I have cleared cache's, reinstalled adobe flash and shock, checked firewall and security settings. Nothing works. I noticed that on 8/14 29 updates were made to Microsoft office - 32 bit (my system has 32 bit and 64 bit) and 12 updates to Microsoft Windows. This is a lot of uninstalling to do. Is this what you would recommend or is there something else to try first?

    I am running IE11 and Windows 7.

Yes both files KB-2970228 and KB-2982791 are in my updates from 8-14-2014. Really need to be able to play the videos from IE. Sorry for the delay...was travelling across country by car. Thank you!

Hi thanks they both have been recalled but KB-2970228 is safe to Uninstall,
We'll both have to wait on the other to be fixed by Microsoft the errors from installing them are bsod for some people,
I have 2982791 without any issues I did not install the other ...228 a rubles money symbol crap update,
You can read up on the issue here but no action is best unless you get a Blue screen of death

    Onwards to your real issue,
Do you have Java from Oracle installed,
Gear symbol on the top right and Manage add-ons,
Show All add-ons on the bottom left column and the toolbars and extensions section,
    Uninstall it if you do,
    http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/remove_olderversions.xml
    http://www.java.com/en/download/help/uninstall_java.xml

    Temp files delete,
Run this as administrator and Start the scanner,
Shut your machine down after it finishes,

    Reset after,
    Delete personal settings,
See a tutorial here to Reset Internet explorer,
    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1222-internet-explorer-reset.html
    After Resetting ie11-10..
I would add this to the tutorials process
Reset process first opening Internet explorer
