I think there may be more to this

I feel that this issue may have more to do with copy right infringements. Than a server malfunction. The server still tags music that it can find but doesn't give you the option to tag downloaded music manually from the fia data base. I think that is why microsoft won't even acknowledge the problem. The thing I ran into now is that when the site automatically tags an album and its wrong there is no way to fix it. Really hope they give us back manual taging or it pretty much renders WMP useless.

    Anyone care to elaborate?

Was it indeed a server issue? No change required on the local machine?

    Apologies, I should know better.

Yes without any changes it suddenly started working. It was indeed a server issue.

This has just popped up for me, too! Does anyone know of a fix, or do I have to wait for Microsoft to fix it?
