    Roxio Easy CD Creator v.6.1

I have many photos which I put onto CDs/DVD some time ago when I was using Windows XP. The program I used to load the photos to disk was Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator v.6.1. This particular version is not compatible with my present O/S which is Windows 7 and therefore I am unable view the photos not having Windows XP any longer.
Does anyone know if there is a free program i can download and run in Windows 7 that will enable me to view my photos?

I used to use Roxio and that version (may even have a copy somewhere). I don't recall it using a proprietary format, however what program you used and media could be an issue.

Have you tried installing the Roxio you have in a Windows XP compatibility mode? That may work. I seem to recall a client I used to have had it installed on Vista and maybe even Windows 7.

The Windows 7 Roxio support website seems just to want to sell you a more up to date version of Roxio. I have tried installing Roxio 6 in Windows XP compatibility mode but it got me nowhere I'm afraid. Messages appeared when installing Roxio, to the effect that the program was not compatible with my O/S, but I soldiered on regardless.
There seems to be two or three problems to overcome. Roxio 6 compresses the photos and it uses UDF files with a .zl at the end. I don't know enough about file systems to say whether one automatically comes with the other. I have also tried opening the files with the 7-zip file opener. I suppose I might end up having to take the disk to someone who is still using Windows XP and ask them to open and copy it for me. Thank you for your interest and suggestions.
