    Google Chrome icons beside music files that has album art


    Hi. I'm new to the forums. I found something strange popped up on my computer.

    There's a google chrome icon beside any of my music files that has an album art on it, like so:



    It just happened today when I was playing Osu! and downloading some beat maps. After finishing the game, I saw these icons appearing on music files that has an album art.

    Is this a virus or is it some sort of linking to Google Chrome itself? It just started happening today.

    The files are fine for playing it on Media Player, just the chrome icon beside it irks me a bit.

    When you double click the icon with album art (and the Chrome icon) does it open in your default media player or does it launch Chrome?

    It opens my default music player, which js windows.media player. Strangely the logo is gone and reverted back to WMP's icon. Is this a glitch?

    I'm not sure what it is, to be honest. I thought maybe Chrome hijacked the file extension or something, but guess not.
