    @gokay,

    I'm sorry.. i was not clear... what i meant was, after i delete the album art file, file does not reappear... but in wmp it appears... i tried even restarting... i have added pic..

    tried your idea.. with mp3tag... it removes everything.. ie, album art pic, artist name, album name

    Go to the 1st link I posted above and check method 1, maybe you are getting the album art from folder and not from the file itself. I don't get album art in WMP while playing.

    Also, when you 1st put the file in MP3Tag it shows (!BAD ID3v2), perhaps the tags are somehow corrupt? It clears all because they are not read from the file in the 1st place.

    Best is to just clear them and write again by hand, if they are not that many.

    @gokay,

    i am having 200 mp3s like that... so renaming individually is not an option...

    when i open the folder containing mp3s, i see only some jpgs... ie, for 200 files i am having only 10 or so... so i think rest should be embedded.. for those 10 file which have album art as separate jpgs.. some work and some dont....

    and i also got !bad tag for all files..

    Better get going, you got some editing to do

    I put in some other mp3 files I had and all come up with their tags intact and no bad ID warning. So the program works alright and I believe these MP3s have non-standard tags.

    Okay so bear in mind that I'm not an expert on the subject and I don't even use WMP preferring to remove it via add/ remove windows features.

    I think the problem was solved already in this post:

    Program to remove Album art ??

    Maybe read the rest of the thread too.

    The same thing was discussed in my 1st link, 1st method. Difference was going into folder options and check/uncheck show hidden/system files etc.

    @callender,

    I went through entire forum before posting...

    In my case, files are embedded in mp3s... no separate jpgs... so that does not work...
