    Hi,
    Yep choose
1 good antivirus and 1 good malware protection program
Be it free or real time protection malware protection really is up to your budget :)
MBAM is all you need with just about any a-v free or paid for,
    Cheers.

What's a beta? MBAE? It went final last summer! I installed it long ago on my parents PC and it's never caused any problems. They have F-Secure Internet Security too.

And MBAM+AV is not all you need if you're worried about exploits. Any anti-exploit tool will do much better than most AVs when it comes to exploit protection. Personally I prefer EMET but for the less advanced users MBAE is a good choice.

If you decide to try it again, here's some tips:

Your specs says Opera 11 which I guess is an old version and might be the issue

The MBAE developers(and other users) can help you here: Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit | Wilders Security Forums

Yea well if your worried about additional threats on the web... get mbam premium = done,

You can however look into an anti spyware utility just make sure real time protection is not activated if it offers the options.

The best defense sits in front of the keyboard not in a third party utility.
