Screensaver suddenly using pictures from every folder on my system

Hello, recently my screensaver (windows 7 home prem. 64bit) started showing every picture that's on my computer, instead of the selected target folder. I had 'my pictures' selected as the source, but pictures from all other random folders on my system started showing..when i opened 'my pictures', it only contained the pictures that I want the screensaver to use. I tried creating a new folder, moved the desired pictures into the new folder, and selected it in the screensaver settings, but when the screensaver activates it still shows pictures from everywhere..It has worked fine displaying the proper photos for 2 years, and this problem just started 2 days ago..Thank you for any help!

Try a System Restore prior to the issue?

Thanks for the info GokAy, however, I found the problem...SOMEHOW a shortcut to 'recent places' got put in my pic folder..i noticed when I created a new folder and stuck 2 or 3 pictures in it, the screensaver would only display those 2 or 3, so I figured something must have gotten embedded with all my pictures. Sure enough when I looked carefully through my pictures I found that shortcut in there...didn't see it before among the 300 or so pictures..I have changed my view to 'large thumbnails' so that won't(shouldn't) happen again!
