Hi thank yo so much for your reply.

I have a VLC player and it does no good. Basically NO player can play this file.

This is the error I get from VLC:

VLC can't recognize the input's format:
The format of 'file:///C:/Users/Owner/Downloads/20150729_123332.mp4' cannot be detected. Have a look at the log for details.

Neither GSpot or MediaInfo detect any audio or video codec in that movie. VLC can't play it. I'd say it's a broken file - what makes you thinks it's OK ?

It might be a 'poison torrent' movie - Hollywood often leak fake movies to the pirate scene that appear to be the correct size and filetype as some recent blockbuster. At best, they don't play and you've wasted your time/bandwidth. At worst, you get a virus and/or have been tracked . . .

Thanks much for your helpful reply.

The video is not from torrent or any other site. I got it from a friend who recorded via HD camera

I think it's okay because this person is trustworthy with this kinda stuff? i dunno. I just don't understand what's wrong. .

It's possible that it's in a format that's specific to the camera - although VLC usually plays most non-standard stuff. Does it play OK for your friend ? I'd ask him to re-upload. BTW I was not accusing you of piracy etc.

Okay I will ask her. Thank you. Only problem is she takes a long time to reply, but thank you for your help. You guys are the best.

And I wasn't thinking you were accusing me of anything, no worries haha. Xd
