can anybody give me some opinions on the best alternative for nero 9 for w7
none. i never really used that much other than burning cd/mp3's on my old vista system but i know its a little bulgy
I should add - you don't need a third party burner as Win7 will do it all - just insert a blank CD/DVD (not blue-ray I don't think).
i been hearing a lot of good things about ashampoo burning studio
CDBurnerXP; works great on Win7, oh yea, and its FREE.
In case you have a Nero 8 serial (legit serial I mean), you can get Nero 8 Micro (google).
For the free ones, there are, CDBurnerXP, ImgBurn, Burrrn (music only), DeepBurner, Infra Recorder, Burnatonce, etc
In fact, you can install any free ones and I'm sure it will be compatible. It does not mean that a software doesn't have "Compatible with Windows 7" that it is not. If they are compatible Vista, they are with Windows 7.
i want to be able to burn AVI's into DVD's . . .
ImgBurn is great. The only slightly different thing about it that I have found is that you must first make a "playlist" before burning a music CD.
That takes a bit more time, but it's no problem. Some competing applications don't require a playlist.
