    Best alternatives to Windows Media Player ?

    As I'm anxious to keep up with my Swedish but unfortunately no longer have Windows Media Player, I was wondering what the closest means of recording the Swedish TV programme (link below) would be because it has most important of all Swedish subtitles....?

    I had thought of VLC but from what I understand the file size would be huge.

    Hundtvodd med Martina Thun - Avsnitt 3 | SVT Play

    Much appreciate any help...!

    Thanks :)

    I just did a test download using a Firefox extension (plenty to choose from). It's a 28mins 346MB flv file, but the subs didn't download - just the movie clip. The flv played OK in VLC. The forum has a policy on advice re : downloading YouTube etc content, so apologies for the lack of any more info.

    So it's possible, sort of.

    Firefox = browser
    extension = add-on - popular ones are Adblock Plus, Ghostery etc
